Job Description

  • Assist the Matron in managing and supervising nursing staff in the pediatric department.
  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of nursing care to pediatric patients, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement interdisciplinary care plans for pediatric patients.
  • Monitor the quality of nursing care provided and identify areas for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Participate in staff training and development initiatives, including orientation programs and continuing education activities.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to pediatric nursing care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital standards.
  • Act as a liaison between nursing staff, patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team to facilitate effective communication and patient advocacy.
  • Assist in the management of nursing resources, including staffing levels, equipment, and supplies, to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in the pediatric department.
