Qualification:
- At least a Master's degree in Banking/Finance/business administration/Economics is required.
Technical Skills/Knowledge:
This is a very high-level leadership position in the CBFIN, reporting directly to the Director General. The position will require a thorough knowledge of the financial sector and macroeconomic situation and its implications. Other skills required for this position are knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Data Modeling, Excellent data/research analysis, Report Writing (both in Nepali and English), Research and Development experience in the financial sector, etc.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of working experience in banks and financial institutions at the managerial level including a minimum of 2 years' working experience as a Department Head in any Bank, preferably a Top Management Position.
Age : 35-45 years
Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to build the image of BFIs in the eyes of the public, regulators, government, and other stakeholders, and implement it through the mobilization of mass media/social media as appropriate
- Explore opportunities to help CBFIN lead advocacy in the Financial Sector with a thorough understanding of the Macro Economic Situation and emerging issues including a contribution of the financial sector and its services and products.
- Assist Director General in administrative and financial matters for the overall functioning of the Secretariat
- Manage the Secretariat in the absence of DG
- Conduct meetings and programs as required
- Maintain good relations with the media
- Maintain good relations with all members of CBFIN
- Develop linkages with relevant organizations as required
- Prepare weekly/monthly and quarterly analyses of data based on a comparison of the banking and financial sector
- Production of Technical Research papers/reports on a fortnightly basis as identified by the CBFIN
- Mapping of Investment potentials sectors for increasing investment of banks and financial institutions/ and exploring areas for investments for banks with minimized risk
- Research on Nepal's overall banking industry
- Identify, and explore access to finance of people in different provinces, saving trends of people, and investment interest in productive sectors developing research/survey tools.
- Capacity to work and connect with the stakeholders independently
- Develop a database of various financial instruments/products/services of BFIs and identify the potential for increasing investments
- Study national budget, monetary policy, strategy papers, and other related documents for analyzing the impact on BFIs in short-term, medium, and long term
- Draft proposal for submitting to development partners on conducting research/programs as required
- Develop CBFIN as a think tank for the financial sector through research and development capabilities.
- Knowledge of operating STATISTICAL software (SPSS or STATA).
- Perform other tasks as required by Director General.
