Contract length: 12 months

Education:

Master’s degree or higher in international development, management, social science, human rights, law, public policy or other related field of study or equivalent education and work experience.

Technical: Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a senior management position in counter trafficking or other relevant human rights programs.

Experience:

• Experience managing international projects to the highest ethical standards
• Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills in the management of complex, multi-activity programming, on time and on budget.
• Experience in cross-sector programming preferred
• Proven ability to build consensus and coalitions among individuals, civil society groups, private sector, and government officials with competing interests
• Experience with gender equality and/or social inclusion in development programs.
• Demonstrated success in mentoring local staff and local organizations with a focus on skills transfer
• Experience in strengthening civil society and government systems.
• Financial management and oversight experience.
• Experience in strategic planning and implementation of strategic plans
• Experience designing and implementing or overseeing monitoring and evaluation systems.

Skills/Knowledge:

• Fluency in English required; proficiency in Nepali is preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge or understanding of social, economic, and political context governing anti-trafficking and safe migration issues in developing countries
• Experience working with the Government of Nepal at the national and sub-national level desired
• Experience overseeing international donor-funded programs
• Experience with private sector engagement and partnerships in supply chains desirable
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, creative problem solving, ethical management skills
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Microsoft).
