Other Specification:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or equivalent applicable experience.
• At least 2 years working experience in GSM Mobile Communication field such as LTE/4G, 3G, 2G or relevant Telecommunication Field.
• Knowledge of IP Transmission, Signaling Protocols such as SIP/SIGTRAN/MTP/DCC will be added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications network design principals and processes.
• Willing to travel inside Nepal.

Job Description:

Core Network Engineer is assigned to work with troubleshooting/ configuration / traffic measurements/ performance of Core network (2G,3G and LTE/VoLTE). Perform operations for network and relevant equipment problems escalated from the surveillance function. It is the responsibility of the engineer to resolve, restore services and network problems according to agreed SLA timing and standard set, to detect and highlight network deficiencies and to some extent predict future degradation.

• Typically working with core network nodes (MSCS/GMSC/HLR/MGW/IMS) and Core EMS
• Deployment, configuration and commissioning of Core equipment and services handled by the equipment.
• Conduct Acceptance Testing of installed and commissioned system.
• Provide the first level of network support with 24 x 7 availability.
• Proactive network monitoring of the deployed system.
• Provides basic diagnostics capabilities to identify the fault or problem.
• Escalate to and follow up with L2 support for problems that can't be solved by L1.
• Provide corrective Actions
• Troubleshoot the service to identify the most appropriate resolution path
• Prepare technical reports
• Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
