Job Description
- Set up and preheat Continental ovens according to the menu requirements.
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust settings as necessary to ensure optimal cooking conditions.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning as per recipes.
- Cook various Continental dishes such as roasted meats, baked goods, and grilled items using the appropriate oven techniques.
- Coordinate timing with other kitchen staff to ensure all components of a dish are ready for assembly and serving.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Conduct regular checks on food items being cooked in the Continental oven to avoid overcooking or undercooking.
- Clean and maintain Continental ovens and associated equipment following hygiene standards.
- Report any malfunctioning equipment to the kitchen manager or maintenance team promptly.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients and cooked items to prevent contamination.
