Role overview:

The consultant is required to prepare resilience plan of 4 health institutions in Bara and Rautahat districts by following integrated approaches to execute the activities so the health institutions, Schools, local institutions, and communities can increase their resilience against vulnerabilities to flood and other hazards; make plans to prepare themselves to prevent future disasters. The program has focused on transferring knowledge on the cycle of Disaster Risk Reduction, Disaster Management, and roles and responsibility of health institutions, local stakeholders, and the communities to develop the Health Facilities more resilient based on the guidelines and directives of the government of Nepal.

 

Skills, qualifications and experience:

The consultant is expected to have a Master’s degree in social science, health or risk management studies or relevant background. The expert shall have at least 5 years of experience in conducting human induced/climate change and natural disaster vulnerability and capacity assessment, expertise in health, school, private institution’s Disaster risk reduction and management. Fluent in developing reports/documents in Nepali along with final proof reading. Competencies and Behaviour.

Step 3

When you have submitted your application, you will receive an email inviting you to complete two assessments which focus on how you process information and what your work approach is.

You will be shown instructions and example questions prior to the assessments to help you increase your familiarity with them. You will also have access to a short profile report on completion of the assessment. Your application will be reviewed by our Resourcing Team when you have completed these assessments.
