Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a relevant technical field, climate change, water resource management, watershed/spring shed management.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a water sector-related field with gender, disability, social inclusion.
- Experience in institutional development and systems strengthening in rural water supply services/WASH applying climate resilience methodologies, beyond the community level,
- A sound understanding of SDG 6, in particular in relation to the needs of women, girls and, persons with disabilities other vulnerable groups;
- Understanding of climate change adaptation and mitigation in the broader water and WASH sector
- Interest to collaborate, contribute to and learn from peers in SNV’s water sector network,
- Analytical capacity and writing skills
- Proficiency in English speaking, reading and writing required.
- The successful candidate will be a self-motivated achiever with excellent intercultural teamwork, communication, networking and organisational skills.
- Full computer literacy and excellent reporting skills.
Additional Information:
Reports to: Project Leader
Contract Duration: 9 months (5.5 months for Nepal and 3.5 months for Bhutan) with potential extension.
Contract Type: National Employment Contract
Expected Start Date: ASAP (As Soon As Possible)
Duty Station: SNV Nepal Country Office, Kathmandu with frequent field visits to project areas and remote support or field visits to Bhutan’s project location if needed.
