Your tasks

 

As part of your service as a development worker, you will take on the following tasks:

  • Enhance capacity of victims´ groups, partners organizations and other concerned stakeholders in designing and implementing initiatives on holistic approaches to DwP
  • Support participatory approaches to storytelling, collection, documentation and editing
  • Support partner organizations in the process of collection, curation, analyzing, securing and archiving sensitive, victim-related data
  • Contribute to organizational and network development of partners
  • Co-design and co-facilitate workshops and trainings on memory work
  • Contribute to project management and strategic planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting
  • Contribute to a periodic context and conflict analysis and needs assessment of partners
  • Support the partners and the CPS programme in other related tasks such as public relations, administrative work, proposal writing, organization of events and workshops, etc. as per request.

 

Your Profile

  • University degree in peace and conflict studies, social science, psychology, social work or related subject
  • Well-founded knowledge and practical experience about concepts and methods of Memory Work and Peace Education
  • In-depth working experience in the area of DwP in a post-conflict country, reconciliation processes, and peacebuilding in general
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with victims and survivors and their networks
  • Knowledge about and experience of secure archiving of sensitive data
  • Strong ability to work in a team, with creative approaches, in a partnership- and solution-oriented way
  • Business fluent in English; knowledge of Nepali language or willingness to learn.
