Job Description:

We are looking for Chinese vegetarian chef to prepare meals for our Buddhist monastery ;

• Must be able to prepare all Chinese vegetarian cuisine dishes as per menu specifications and recipes without the use of garlic, onions, green onions, scallions, chives etc.
• Must have full knowledge in utilizing wok and Chinese cooking equipment, techniques and plate presentation.
• Must be able to prepare and cook for large groups of people.
• Wash and prepare vegetables, fruits, salads, and foods for cooking.
• Label and organize all the cooked and uncooked food items in the fridge, pantry and storeroom.
• Must be able to maintain the kitchen’s hygiene and sanitation.
• Organize and produce menu for each week’s meal.
• Professional/Educational qualification in Culinary Arts or possess previous experience in Chinese restaurant will be an advantage.
• Chef who has skills in Chinese cooking but would like to expand skills in vegetarian cooking is also welcome.
• Eligible candidates must have honest and sincere character without any drinking, smoking and other negative habits..
