Job Description:
- As an Azure DevOps (ADO) Engineer, your role involves utilizing the Azure DevOps platform to support and streamline an organizations software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- You work with development teams to optimize workflows, automate processes, and facilitate collaboration.
- Infrastructure Setup and Configuration: You set up and configure Azure DevOps environments, including repositories, pipelines, and build/release agents.
- You ensure the infrastructure is properly provisioned and optimized for the organizations development needs.
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): You design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- This includes automating the build, test, and deployment processes to enable frequent and reliable software releases.
- Version Control and Source Code Management: You utilize Azure DevOps for version control and source code management.
- This involves creating and managing repositories, branches, and pull requests to facilitate collaborative development and ensure code integrity.
- Release Management: You manage the release pipeline and deployment process, coordinating with development, testing, and operations teams.
- You ensure smooth and reliable deployments, leveraging features such as deployment gates, approvals, and environment management.
- Agile Planning and Project Management: You utilize Azure Boards, a feature of Azure DevOps, for agile planning, task tracking, and project management.
- You create and manage work items, sprints, backlogs, and Kanban boards to facilitate effective project execution.
- Monitoring and Reporting: You leverage Azure DevOps reporting and analytics capabilities to monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the development, build, and release processes.
- You generate reports and insights to drive continuous improvement and optimize SDLC practices.
