Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly organized individual to join our team as an Events Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various academic events while also serving as a liaison between our institution and our academic and industrial partners. You will work closely with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless delivery of events that promote academic excellence, foster knowledge exchange, and strengthen academic and industrial relationships.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute academic events, including conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposiums, exhibitions, etc.
  • Collaborate with faculty, departments, and external speakers to identify event topics, themes, and speakers.
  • Serve as a liaison between our institution, academic partners, and our industrial partners fostering strong relationships and promoting collaboration.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual requirements, and accommodation arrangements.
  • Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to promote events through various channels, such as social media, newsletters, and website updates.
  • Develop event registration systems and oversee attendee registration and payment processes.
  • Liaise with vendors, sponsors, and exhibitors to secure partnerships and sponsorships for events.
  • Coordinate with event volunteers and staff to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and prepare reports on event success and areas for improvement.
